For newcomers to BSDM, MicroThermX is a CASH COW, here is why

"The MicroThermX® introduces into our product line an innovative SynchroWave disposable antenna that is used in each ablation treatment, which we believe will provide a significant ongoing revenue stream after the sale of the system. We expanded the MicroThermX ® market opportunity by introducing a new SynchroWave short tip (“ST”) antenna that can be used to deliver smaller, spherical ablation zones that more accurately target smaller tumors. The existing SynchroWave long tip (“LT”) antenna delivers larger ablation zones, reducing the need for multiple ablations on larger tumors. The multiple configurations of the SynchroWave antenna provide physicians the ability to precisely target the ablation zone to the numerous sizes and shapes of diseased tissue, significantly increasing the number of cases that can be treated with the MicroThermX ® . The soft tissue ablation world market potential is estimated to exceed $2.3 billion."

      • A single replaceable antenna (the "razor-blade") for the MicroThermX sells for $2,000 and up to 3 can be used in each procedure. It's called "synchronous phased array" because it is designed to use more than one antenna at a time!

BSDM has said margins are in the 65-75% range on these antennas, so assuming 2 antenna used per procedure, that's $4,000 of revenue of which roughly $2,800 is net income to BSDM.

ONE SINGLE MicroThermX in a large cancer facility with multiple doctors using it, doing just 1 procedure a day in a 5 day week, would generate 250 days x $4,000 = $1,000,000 in 1 year. That's potentially 1 million dollars in revenue generation per a single MicroThermX unit in a large facility.

And those are conservative numbers, in my opinion.

When BSDM has just 50 of these systems in use in large facilities, they would get 50 million dollars in revenues just in the antenna sales alone.

Add a few more systems and a few more procedures (it's a 2.3 BILLION dollar global market) and it's possible to see a revenue stream of 100+ million dollars a year or more.
I am not even considering the hyperthermia line of equipment in this valuation yet....

Anyone want to ballpark a valuation for a company with about 35 million shares outstanding, with a revenue stream of , say, $100 million of a product with 60-70% margins?

What do you figure that company would sell for? With only 35 million shares outstanding?

        Ideas?

P.S. this doesn't even touch on additional revenues from the hyperthermia line of products for which BSD Medical has several signed agreements in place to start soon

    • Good post, this one will be a big winner in 2013.I see a easy double in the stock when Wall street finds it.
This one has a very small market and multiples are getting ready to expand
