$.20 diluted earnings...More importantly,
Revenues rose 3% to $2.43 Billion vs. comparable
quarter!!! As a $10 Billion company with growing revenues, I
would be less concerned about a quarter's number for
two reasons, namely, when the earnings scenario
changes, they can produce earnings growth very quickly.
Plus, as a leader in their industry with a growing Top
Line , HUM's current price is a real bargain. I plan
to continue to accumulate on any meaningful moves
EITHER UP or DOWN!!!
David Jones needs to face reality and send Wolf
and all his Cheesehead fraternity brothers back to
the trucking business in Wisconsin where they came
from. This is the third company Wolf has tried to come
in and manage into the ground. Jones will lose a lot
more money if he allows the brothers of Pi Wolf Kappa
run the show. Come on David -- make some cheese whiz
out of these cheeseheads!
And don't think for
one minute those EHI goons didn't know about the
Columbia contract -- the truth is -- they needed eight
quarters of positive earnings to get their management
If Jones doesn't have the character to
send the EHI boys back home than he deserves to have
this company sold.
the Barron's article you cited on AOL company
news and guess what, it says HUM management knew of
the contract problems with COL months ago and hence
the impact on their mendical expenses. It also states
HUM is probably for sale and would command a price
from the high teens to the mid twenties. Maybe I'me
dreaming , but I think that's what I've been saying all
along. I've enjoyed sparing with you, have a nice day!
