    A few questions

I have genotype-1 and was wondering the type of success they have had dealing with this strand?

What clinical phase is the drug in and is there and estimate of when it will hit the market?

Aside from the rash spoken of are there any other side effects?

I went through a clinical trial for Interferon and Inteferon with Robiviron twice, always relapsing. Drug side effects were terrible.

I have HCV for 25 years, feel great but I do have some liver damage. Need something sooner or later and sooner would be much better.

Could someone fill me in, i really appreciate it.

    • TVR(vx950) is in Phase 2, will be available in a few years, and for now it is the best drug candidate for the type of HCV you have. However, TVR has to be taken along with interferon and ribavirin to show its efficacy for now.
The chance of getting rid of your virus is as high as 60% and as low as 40% when the above triple combination is used against your strand because you have already gone through Ifn and Rbv. You may have to wait longer than 3 years if you don't want to take Rbv again.
Better drugs and drug combinations will come along in future.
