    If....

    If there are 250-300k treatment failure patients in United States (????worldwide) and the treatment costs $75,000 and Vertex gets a 2-3 year jump on other treatments (including their own next generation)....
    well that's $18 Billion in sales...I don't know how fast they can make the stuff...they could hypothetically attempt to cure all non responders before anything else is approved.....AND that's the really small subset of HCV sufferers in need of a better treatment...

    • 75K is a lot of money for some folks. I only have catastrophic insurance that does not pay for tests unless they require hospital admittance or prescriptions. So it pays for my biopsies but not blood tests. Will it pay for this? Guess it's time to start asking.
