Not sure VRTX deserves the downtrend over that last couple of days. They are advancing 1 of 2 nucs that they invested in towards HCV. Currently they own the latest effective Tx for the disease (Incivek). Back in the day when VRTX was advancing VX950 (Incivek) in clinical trials for approval and MRK and GILD showed up as competitors, the street drove VRTX down because VX950 now had "competition". Now that VRTX (w/Incivek) is advancing a competitive nuc, why is it the street is driving VRTX down and GILD up?
Am I trying to make sense of something that in reality will never make sense? 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
JMHO. Good luck to all!!!
Yep, really. They picked the absolute worst moment to disappoint and, barring any positive data, this looks to retest the recent lows. This stock will have no friends until they show can deliver on something.
