Re: What you should consider if you are long VRTX!
Anyone who is long this stock should read the message, "Re: Downward Trend to Continue???"
Do yourself a favor and read the whole thread.
The moral of this story is: If you carefully read through the company's SEC Filings, written or edited by a lawyer, they will often tell you the direction of the company. Clearly the company said that the trend was downward and since then that's all the stock has done...drop!
I'm glad I sold this stock at $46.50. I am not gloating...I would never do that given that some longs have lost a lot of money in this stock since then. If anything, I'm cautioning to the current longs that I think there is much more downside in this stock.
Hey bud you never owned a vrtx share to sell at $46.50. You have been a short and you are still a short. To prove me wrong how about telling us when you posted a positive post about vrtx when you bought. OH, I looked--there is none!!
No pal...I am not short this stock. Trust me...I wish I was!!!
Regarding my sale date, look at the day and time of my original post. That speaks for itself!
My post was an attempt to show other investors what I found in the company's SEC filings and how I responded to it. The facts of the company's disclosure are just that...facts. If you choose to ignore them, then you will probably continue to lose money in this stock.
I have a philosophical question for you: Should an investor be so cynical as to believe that anyone who has a different opinion than him has some ulterior motive?
Like many investors, I have lost money in some stocks. Often because there was piece of information that I didn't know. You have probably experienced the same thing. So if I were you I would simply decide if what I found had merit or not. If it had merit, then great, you have something to take action on. If it didn't have merit, then at least you had considered it. In either case...you win!
Yes, I probably should short this stock. But, at this point, I have absolutely no interest in this stock. There are way better opportunities for my money.
