A Contemptuous Connelly Sniffs at DuPont's Superior Competitors!

Cluelessly Spotlights the Second-Rate Status of His Own Lagging Delaware Conglomerate

Good Afternoon, Bonsoir, Guten Abend, Buona Sera,

Readers, the tone as well as the words of any address by a corporate executive can reveal intrinsic weakness. Take for example the remarks of DuPont's Chief Innovation Officer yesterday, May 22, 2013, in a Goldman Sachs Materials Conference Call.

"Tom Swift" Connelly puts forth this disingenuous, if not deceptive spin:

"Within DuPont we recognize we have capable competitors who may have strength in few or even several of these science areas."

The commercial reality is DuPont is a pronounced laggard to:

    * Monsanto in seeds and seed innovation,

    * Syngenta in the production and sale of ag chemicals,

    * Novozymes, in industrial enzymes and food additives,

    * BASF, Dow Chemical, Bayer, Exxon Mobil and a half dozen larger, more intensely-focussed chemicals and materials-makers.

Frankly and personally, folks we don't think the Chief Innovation Officer of the maker of the phony innovation Imprelis and the faltering, if not potentially dangerous Kullman Koolant is in a position to sniff at any firm, particularly a superior-managed and superior-performing one.

Merely the afternoon commentary of one individual retail investor and long-time student of the degraded and demoralised DuPont...funfun..
