    Smartmoney includes Gems

Smartmoney included Gems with a group of stocks listed as very very cheap. The article indicated that the insanity that had driven the market to ridiculous heights now has seemingly decimated stocks like Gems. It was good to see that type of validation to anyone who has just recently bought Gems. I really wonder if the negative posts on this site are truly intelligent researchers who have done analysis on the company or were the same fools who may have been advising buying when Gems and other stocks were foolishly lifted to unreasonable highs. Has anyone ever dug back into this board to see if today's ridiculously negative posters were yesterdays misguided positive pumpers?

    • Thanks for your post about Smartmoney.
Today on CNBC they were saying that this week generally is the lowest volume week of the year. That everyone is on vacation, and has stop losses and orders to buy at certain levels allready in, while I guess everyone is laying on the beach somewhere. Even at that GEMS had pretty good volume today. Volume should pick up next week. I just hope that the market will be up. My personal feelings is that September will have the markets going up. Summer over, lower gas prices, Tax money, back to school buying, 7 intrest rate cuts, and I belive a way oversold market. ECT. Good luck to all LONGS.

    • Take a look at Managment,,,BOD,,and statements made over the last two years. That should answer your question. Management chances of turning this one around is truly a shot in the dark,,just as any investment in said Company. The record speaks for itself. Forget about who on a Yahoo board says what!! Also take a look at investor sentiment in a direct competitor. The indicator there is the street don't trust.

      Good Luck
      Tex

    • Good question. I was watching this stock for about six months before I got on this board, so I guess my total time watching this board is about 2 1/2 years. I have been active on this board about two years, and my answer is yes that about three or four of them have consistantly bashed, or looked for any negative slant that they could devise, I would guess about 90+% of the time. As I remember even when this stock was going up to $28 per share. I also belive that many fake ID names have come and gone over this time. I would have to say that in my line of thinking, most of these post ID that have come and gone, sure had a familuar
sounding thought,or lack of thought pattern to them. We really dont have to worry about these misfits. We just have to keep our eye on GEMS, and its greate potential. This company has about $58 million in cash. This com. has zero or little debt. This company should have if the second half of this year is flat, about $100 million in revenues this year. This company has cut out there fat. This company has just around 40+ million shares afloat, the rule is it is best to buy companys with less that 50 million shares. This stock is priced to where a person can buy a lot of shares for a small amount of money, then with just a small stock increase of say to $3.00 per share a person can tripple there money, ECT. All of this is how I see it. Each person must research for themselves.

    • Keep in mind that today will mark 13 days in a row, that the stock price is below 1 dollar. Looks like you've got about 17 days to unload, before de-listing. If the stock de-lists from NASDAQ, you may as well kiss that money goodbye. So I don't see anything smart about investing in a company headed for doom. Have a good day.
