AT&T is the WORST co that I ever had to deal with. I have finally canceled their DSL service, although I gave them a prolong period of time to fix the problem. They have some good people on the lower levels working for them, but the company structure is horrendous and nobody individually cannot help a customer even if they try.
If you call them and go through some of the menus, one of the messages you would hear: "if you like to cancel your DSL service before the 60 day usage period press X..."
Just the existence of such option is already speaks volume about their DSL service...
I would never invest in this company. There are just too many better opportunities out there.
The menu choice regarding "cancel of your DSL service" will most likely connect that call to a retention group. Some might not believe it, but the company does want to keep it's customers.
I have had their DSL service for 7 years and am happy with it. So far in that time I have not had to call in for trouble. When it did go down it was my equipment (faulty surge suppressor, the dial tone worked but not the DSL)
well when my neighbor got so feed up with Att crappy service he said that when he told them he was going to switch to cable telephone and internet they(att)didnt even attempt to persuade him from leaving.Actually he was very surprised that they didnt.and for the record ive asked him about his service and hes happier than a pig in mud.Our customers used to be that way once apon a time.
