I spent 14 hours in the ER taking care of mostly people that chose or couldnt get care elsewhere..and spending my time trying to sort of the people that really needed EM care and those that use the ER for care because is the only place you can go where they dont ask for a dime upfront...is why ERs are over crowed .
Wow! That's a long shift. You seem to be compashionate about your job. Do you do this for charity? I'll bet that you do to keep health costs down for the masses. Do you remember a guy with 2 broken legs, an iPhone with a bottle of Jack, waiting fot 7 hours in the ER? I didn't have health insurance either.
