    Another point of view

And one has to keep asking why no one from Freddie or Fannie or the folks in Congress that supported them and lied for them not yet in jail?

And just for clarification, these weren't my points; I didn't write the article or make the quotes.

Well...usually crooks in power don't convict themselves...

Barney Frank and Maxine Waters are still in Congress. Chris Dodd left office on his own.

They'll be in office as long as they want because there is a contingent who like what they do. While we know they caused the housing bubble, their constituents know that they provided housing for the poor who couldn't otherwise have obtained those homes. Those folks who benefitted from the work of Dodd, Frank, and Waters don't pay taxes, don't give a darn about those who do, and don't give a care about wealth redistribution - other than to want more of it...

Send these politicians to jail? Not in this country.

Which is something the OWS protesters are pushing for, no?

      • And the OWS protestors asking for it is going to what? Zero, nada, zilch or perhaps even less than that.

Where is Congress? Where is the Justice Department? They are the only ones that can impact changing the way our government deals with these two corrupt organizations.

They are typically quite and non-existent on the subject.

      • From what I've seen of many OWS folks, they probably think Fannie and Freddie are long lost relatives.

      • I read an interesting article yesterday about one of the OWS group’s leaders, from the dark shadows of course, but a person that has spent much time and energy trying to organize this bunch of nit wits...Van Jones. And this was in the MSM not some Internet site.

He has traveled the country organizing protests and camps. He has spent months doing all this...but he has no job. He has no visible means of support for his travels or his lodging. Where is the money coming from? Why hasn't he surfaced as a leader in this organization? Why is he trying to stay in the shadows?

But of course this group has no ties to the current administration or to any of his support groups or supporters, nah that couldn’t happen!
