“Prove it! We do not have the worst health outcomes. People recover more often and live longer here than anywhere, and that is a stat that was created without government designed health care.”
He didn’t say it was the “worst” – he said we spend more with worse results.
“Prove it.” Why certainly – of course these stats are only from The World Health Organization, who I’m certain you consider to be some Commie plot out to destroy the world through socialized medicine. Perhaps you have ANY statistics to support your contentions – you know, something from Rush or The Fabulous Koch Brothers. Prove it.
The World Health Organization's ranking of the world's health systems was last produced in 2000, and the WHO no longer produces such a ranking table, because of the complexity of the task.
Ranking of The United States in the following categories:
Overall Healthcare = 37th out of 190 countries
Mortality Amenable to Health Care = 14th Life Expectancy at Birth = 24th Health Performance ranked by 8 separate metrics = 72nd Total Health Expenditures as a % of GDP = 2nd
You may be interested to know, however, that all is not lost. The US ranks a very respectable SECOND in the world (to China) in beer consumption – so that should make you happy, at least. Cheers and good health!
