Clint's speech...

I haven’t seen a speech like Clint Eastwood’s since Rick Perry’s in New Hampshire in October, when he rambled on and on with his slurred speech so much that folks thought he was on Quaaludes.
I think serious disservice was done to the GOP cause, by permitting Eastwood to ramble on to an empty chair, making throat cutting gestures, suggesting “they” own America, implying that the empty chair (POTUS) was telling him to go fock himself, and ending with a famous line from his macho movies (“Make my day”) suggesting he was about to blow somebody away at the slightest provocation, particularly in this day and age.
In fairness, it would appear he had carte blanche permission to freelance, and word has it that many in the RNC were grimacing and squirming in their seats, while listening to Eastwood’s least impressive role since his brief appearance as a sailor in “Francis (the talking mule) in the Navy” early in his career.
Unfortunately, it would appear many (not all) of those in attendance, (mostly angry, old, white guys, the Tea Party stalwarts not unlike Eastwood’s character Walt Kowalski in “Gran Torino”) ate it up. Did the rest of America? Stay tuned. I, for one, a fan of much of his later work, was extremely disappointed in this performance, and do not feel it was at all appropriate. JMO.-

The vast majority in unions today are in public employee unions. America spoke along time ago about unions and they are not popular. -

Obama is not "my man". He is the President of the United States of America. Your president, and my president. A Romney win in November is a long-shot at best. That's simply how it is.
I am a professional analyst. I do not do political work. I have multiple clients in both the public and private sector. Why on earth would you think my livelihood depends on who is President? -

That is a moderate view. What is immoderate about supporting a limited safety net and wanting to pay for it? What is immoderate about expanding the EITC (Something Bush did, btw)? What is immoderate about supporting education? What is immoderate about supporting unions (about 12% of American workers are IN unions, a higher number support them)? What is immoderate about wanting extremely wealthy people to pay a tax rate similar to working people.
According to you, 99% of Americans are extremist. I'm sure you think you're a moderate, but you are incorrect. You are the extremist. And the fact that you list these moderate views as "extreme", and think people will buy it, indicates you are blinded by that extremism. -

There is a good chance that he may be.

I am just a person who does not value 'unions'.
I helped defeat them when they tried to organize
my industry (computer technology) and did not see how it hurt us.
