Former AT&T CEO Doorman comments on subsidies to AAPL

You maybe right but the man commented on subsidy issues of which I found to be right on the mark in addition to his comments concerning PLC as it relates to hardware in general.

Two important factors to remember about high tech hardware: 1) Capital intensive to develop and 2) short PLC, unlike consumer goods where PLC goes on forever, i.e. Coca Cola.

    • No maybe about my original observation. That said, on the set subsidy issue I'm in his camp. Apple's clout shoud be waning. Some of the Samsung products are really taking hold.

I should have noted that in the first post. Sorry.

    • Not clear to me how and why the I-Phone market price is set at $699. In a year or two, I can easily see this price dropping to $199 with no subsidy based on alternative functionality provided by laptop computers. The share price of AAPL is certainly telegraphing what lies ahead.
