    Republican Accomplishments

    From New Yorker Magazine:
Republicans inherited a surplus from Clinton.

Republicans started 2 wars and cut taxes for the first time in recorded human history.

Republicans gave out huge taxcuts with not only no government cuts but huge expansion

When Treasury Sec Paul Oneill warned of huge debt he was fired. with Cheney saying, "You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

Bush Fired anouther top economic adavisor Larry Lindsey for Saying the War Might Cost $100 Billion a low ball estimate

Republicans created the huge boondoggle comically redundant "Homeland Security"

Republicans passed Medicare Part D with no cost controls and ompletely unfinded

Republicans allowed the too big to fail banks defraud the world and bring US to the brink of another great Depression

Bush and Paulson threatened congress with martial law in the US and a world wide depression if they didnt sign TARP

Paulson Former CEO of Goldman Sacs not only gave Goldmans the lions share of TARP but put them in charge it.

Republicans are not only dishonest ,delusional and hypocritical to a depraved degree they seem to be constitutionally incapable of honesty.

    • I think the problem is that we have not had a true economic policy in years. I also think that aggregated income will be the key to global economic growth. Th raise in incomes and the expansion of incomes should the most important point of any plan for growth. Central to all economic theories is the growth income levels and the expansion of incomes. Taxes are created through incomess and consumption/demand is also related to incomes. Savings and investments are also directly related to incomes. We can theorize the Laffer Curve in many different ways but the fact is that a decrease overall incomes will result in a decrease tax revenues. High unemployment will make this worse with aggregated incomes decreasing and very little effort to redistribute wealth from the higher income brackets to the poor and middle class.. We should be maximizing income levels with a balanced tax policy to close the deficit gap instead of engaging in policies that promote self interest. of a few or a pure capitalist system. The increase and expansion aggregated income levels is the the key. Put the money in the hands of many who consume and pay taxes, they will put pressure on supply which with create demand and more household incomes.

He$$, we haven't had a budget in three years and you expect an economic policy? But I regress, they do have an economic policy...increase taxes so we can spend more and create more dependency on the government for everything, not just those outlined in the Constitution. Oh I forgot, liberals think the Constitution is outdated and should be either rewritten or changed dramatically.

BS. I could not find any record of this list from New Yorker Magazine, either.

    • We all saw how dishonest they were in the last election, especially that candidate they had. They give tax deductions to companies for the costs of taking work to china, while claiming the govt spends too much on seniors and poor people. Romney prospered very well on that govt handout loophole. Thank God the majority of us weren't fooled like the ones we see on here posting garbage about Obama 24/7. As if it means anything, they are so ignorant they can't see their own stupidity. The more they bash Obama the more likely they will lose upcoming elections. It's like they can't turn the spigot off already that's flooding the house.

    • And obama and the democrats are too stupid to learn from that!!
