Sad nothing they can do. Makes them totally of implementing LEAN and 6 sigma concepts to the enterprise. There is a reason ma bell was broken up in the 80's. Its back. Git me an Obama phone... Peace.... The Capper.
In the 90′s, the federal government set up the Lifeline phone service program via a mandate by the FCC. This program, funded by Universal Service Fund fees on telephone bills, provides qualified consumers with discounted (often free) monthly telephone service. It began as just a landline program and a few years ago made it’s debut with cell phones. It’s been commonly called the “Obama phone” but that’s an urban legend as free cell phones were added under the Bush Administration.
Seems that those who can no longer get union benefits are very envious of those who did. All of your union bashing will not change the fact that unions are why this country is where it is today. Thank God for unions!!
Many things about CWA I didn't like but they and the company agreed to the contracts and they are legally binding. One example, many foremen would favor their pets and channel most of the OT to them. The union made them rotate the OT so all had a chance at it. I believe the company actually liked the contract work rules as most everyone agreed with them. Anyway, AT&T treated me well and enabled me to raise my family with a decent standard of living and retire without being a burden to my kids.
