John Boehner's Future Son-in-law Once Busted for Pot (cue “cry me a river” from the tanning bed, Joe Cocker version)

    by Kristen Butler, UPI

“Speaker of the House John Boehner may have something new to cry about -- his daughter's impending marriage.

Lindsay Boehner, who lives in Hollywood, Florida, is engaged to Jamaica-born Dominic Lakhan, and records show they're set to tie the knot May 5, reports N. Y. Daily News.

Lakhan was pulled over in 2006 for a traffic violation, and a Pembroke Pines, FL. police officer found *four grams of marijuana in his ashtray and "observed in plain view a 16 oz. Natural Light beer can opened in the driver door," according to a police report. "Officer also detected the odor of burnt #$%$ emitting from the interior of the vehicle."

Lakhan, 38, admitted to possessing the marijuana “for personal use” and was charged with misdemeanor possession. Records also show Lakhan was charged with possession of an open container of alcohol while driving back in 2003.

Republican House Speaker John Boehner is a social conservative, widely known to be a religious Catholic and firmly against marijuana legalization. “ – end of UPI story

*that’s a seventh of an ounce…no sweat in a de-crim state, but if you’ve got four grams in the ashtray of your car…well, I’d just ask what the traffic violation he originally got pulled over for was…levitating himself out of John Boehner’s driveway? Oh, but in your heart, you know the hypocrisy crescendos…

    • What a hypocritical jerk you are. So what if his future son-in-law has had some problems? He is not marrying the Speaker, he is not one of his children that he raised, and he is not the Speaker. Are you responsible for the errors of your other family members or those about to become family members? Has the Speaker asked anyone to make exceptions for his behavior?

      • ...“What a hypocritical jerk you are…”

Right, golf boy, I was really criticizing someone’s son-in-law who smokes pot. You guys can’t spell, think, or write, but I thought you could at least read.

You’re calling me a hypocritical jerk when I’ve been talking about hypocrisy here for three days now. Guys like you and Frog, and now Boehner, epitomize hypocrisy. You want hypocrisy…here’s hypocrisy:

“Boehner has said in the past that he is 'unalterably opposed' to legalizing marijuana, even for medical purposes.

'Whether it is the American Medical Association, the American Cancer Society - all of those people, by and large don’t believe there is any medicinal value in marijuana,' Boehner told CNN in 2009.”

The fact that I’m delighted that John Boehner’s daughter is marrying a Bob Marley look-alike is obviously lost on you. If he’s not crying about it, I’m certainly not. Maybe the kid will open up his father-in-law’s eyes to the real world…”Do I call you Dad, or Mr. Speaker, or Mr. Dad…or, “Hey, Jancro, yu nuh easy… yu Red High…yu tun up tanning bed color setting from Acapulco Gold to Panama Red – ah se won.

Hey, I might be in Del Ray around the time of the wedding…and I’m from Ohio…where’s my invite, Mr. Speaker?

    • Well, now that Congress has a source maybe they'll get along a little better. . .
