And a little child yelled, "He is not wearing any clothes"

As the story goes, a little child in a crowd of people, watching the emperor, while on parade wearing his new invisible clothes, yelled "He is not wearing any clothes".

Then and only then, were the people able to see the naked truth.

Point being, sometimes all it takes is one little voice crying in the wilderness to start a movement and possibly be the foundation for a big change.

On August 29, 2013 the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) formally announced that it had ended its association with the AFL-CIO union. Among the causes sighted for taking this step were the AFL-CIO's support for "Obama Care" and the administration's immigration policies.

Amazing, one little 40,000 member union voice having the nerve to point out that the Emperor has no clothes.

And after the little child made his cry, one by one the people in the crowd started to laugh, because one by one the people in the crowd began to recognize the truth that they were unable to see before.

Can't wait to see this reported on the nightly news.

"In your heart you know he is right."

    • If you want to know what really happened, look up "ILWU Disaffiliation Letter" in Google and read the letter.

Froggie is a liar. A pure liar.

        OK, let's review my statement:

"On August 29, 2013 the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) formally announced that it had ended its association with the AFL-CIO union. Among the causes sighted for taking this step were the AFL-CIO's support for "Obama Care" and the administration's immigration policies."

Fact 1. In an August 29, 2013 dissolution letter from ILWU President Robert McEllrath to AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, formally announced that it had ended its association with the AFL-CIO.

        Not lie.

Fact 2. On page 3 of the ILWU Disaffiliation letter Mr. McEllrath wrote:

"President Obama ran on a platform that he would not tax medical plans and at the 2009 AFL-CIO Convention, you stated that labor would not stand for a tax on our benefits. Yet the Federation later lobbied affiliates to support a bill that taxed our health care benefits...."

        Not lie.

Fact 3. Still on page 3 Mr. McEllrath wrote:

"However, the immigration bill you recently asked us to support imposes extremely long waiting periods on the path to citizenship and favors workers with higher education..."

        Not lie.

        Bottom line:

All of my statements were based upon facts. I know that you would like to twist the facts into something that they are not, but while all of us are entitled to our own opinions, none of us are entitled to our own facts.

Always remember the truth will set you free.

The truth, frog boy? You, apparently, are totally incapable of telling the truth.

So you want to pretend that the ILWU is somehow on your side on the issues of Obamcare and Immigration? Fine, let’s check it out (beyond your reporting it the same way as Breibart and Fox did with half truths.)

“Robert McEllrath, president of the ILWU said his union supports the single-payer, nationalized healthcare policy while the AFL-CIO backs Obama’s tax on its so-called ‘Cadillac’ healthcare plan. ‘We feel the Federation has done a great disservice to the labor movement and all working people by going along to get along,’ McEllrath wrote in the letter to Trumka.

Oh, so suddenly you want a single-payer national plan? Wow, you must be some kinda’ commie…oh, no, that’s not at all what you want, is it, but you thought you could once again distort the facts to your benefit.

      How about immigration reform?

“McEllrath also went on to say that they support stronger immigration reform than the AFL-CIO is supporting…’However, the immigration bill you recently asked us to support imposes extremely long waiting periods on the path to citizenship and favors workers with higher education and profitability to corporations, as opposed to the undocumented workers such as janitors and farm workers.’

The group acknowledges its short and rocky relationship with the CIO, getting kicked out for being ‘too red’ during the anti-labor, McCarthy.”

Too Red? My, my, froggie, so now you’re trying to suggest that a labor group who disagrees with Obamacare and Immigration reform because neither goes far enough, somehow supports your goal of obstructing both?? How mind-boggling peculiar. You people are pathetic.

In your heart you know you’ve, quite by accident, demonstrated pluralistic ignorance far better than Anderson ever did with The Emperor’s New Clothes.

      • I wonder if this frog character is hawcreek who pollutes the msft board. They have no real issues with ObamaCare because all what they say about it are lies. They haven't even read about it or researched it, just vomit back what they get on Faux. They snip words out of context and change the meaning to lie, like the one where ObamaCare is a train wreck. That referred to the implementation, because of lack of funding for it, not ObamaCare. Total lie on the right. Cruz is on TV daily distorting and lying about ObamaCare, and these rwnj sit listening like little puppies, wagging their tails.
