    The Republican/Conservativess Problem

The Republican/Conseratives problem with attracting popular support is that, having failed miserably, the same old media "leaders" won't get out of the way and let some new blood take charge. It is more important to them to hold on to their high-profile privileged positions and give us more-of-the-same, than to give someone else a chance to save our country. They had their chance. They're good people, but THEY LOST!

If they are sincere, they will use their prestige to repeatedly show-off and promote new charasmatic Republican/Conservatives and heretofore unappreciated black commentators like Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams.

    • When they had the chance to govern they failed absolutely and completely. So America voted them out. Now they STILL think they get to tell the country what to do. And they are STILL failing America.

      • The ONLY good thing that will come out of the Republicans ( The 1% who control 90% of the wealth in America) bringing down the government is that they will almost assuredly be voted out of office and the Democrats (The majority of hard working real Americans) will take back the house and send that Tea party filth back to their snake dens... Polls all over America now show that the overwhelming majority believe that the Republicans are to blame for this disaster... God bless the media for getting the message out to the people !

        Sentiment: Hold

      • After the Post Office scandal in 1994 that gave the Republicans total control for the first time; rather than tell the demoncrats "we're holding session, you can show up if you like, NO they worked with the demoncrats and compromised. Demoncrats won, Republicans got the blame. They never fought or led. Maybe now they are taking a stand. Either way they get the blame for anything that goes wrong in this country.

      • The Republican party was born in failure to govern. Rather than follow the Constitution and allow the Southern States to withdraw from the union they sacrificed over 600,000 lives. At the same time, they established a dictatorship which the Democratic party has now fully exploited. If we can force them to stay in the union, we can force them to buy health insurance. SO THERE !!!

    • yeah I just retired in it they told me my Cobra be 1000 and $3 and 10 sets that's almost half of what I make in retirement I could not afford it what I'm going to pay in this new medical with Obama Care is three times cheaper I can't believe that the Republicans would be against that

The Republicans are not against cheap health care, they're against making someone else (the taxpayers) pay to subsidize your cheap health care.

      • So help me here kolaman53, part of your quote .. "they told me my Cobra be 1000 and $3 and 10 sets" ??
        Is that supposed to be $1003.10 - or what's 10 sets ??

Never mind, I think I understand .. go get your ObamaCare because the entire U.S. is paying for it, and it sounds like you need it (cause your Cobra be 1000 and $3 and 10 sets)

BTW .. the reason Republicans are against it (??) .. when you go to an ACA Doctor you had better be in PERFECT Health ... if you smoke, ca-ching ... if you are fat, ca-ching ,, if you have pre-existing conditions (??) they will insure you BUT, ca-ching ca-ching ca-ching !!
.... SO good luck with your ObamaCare - and once you're in, you can't get out - (without yearly fines to be paid with your taxes ... enforced by the IRS) ....

    • i believe the new republican blood is showing and reminding the old blood of the constitution they swore to uphold ~ i think they're getting the picture now that the newer crew is growing in numbers ?

      • If you force a default I think you could see some Republican blood. I did not think you people could do much worse than what you did in Iraq, but you are trying.

A global Depression--and make not mistakes, that is what a default will cause--will cause people around the world to starve. THIS is what Republicans are toying with just to make a political point on a health law.
