I once thought T was a solid competitor in the US wireless space but TMUS has undone their business. I was a long term investor but after analyzing the stock for the 2013 performance and looking at the current competitive situation T is no longer a hold. Get out while you can cause it is going down.
Just called ATT and told them that I was going to switch to a different provider and they didn't have much to offer for me to stay. They weren't very helpful at first but they ended up giving me $20 credit per month so I can complaint. I do agree with you though, TMUS will outperform ATT. 2014 will be an interesting year for ATT.
Good Luck to all
Really? Price for GoPhone service - no contract is similar to T-Mobile and at&t has full coverage. I was on T-Mobile and had many blank areas for data use. You may be in a good area for T-Mobile - so go for it. I was not and switched to at&t from T-Mobile after the first month. I find pricing is very competitive.
I tried T-Mobile. In my personal experience, along the Central Coast of California, while voice was so-so, there were far too many places where I could not pick up signal for data. A smartphone without good coverage is pretty useless. While this may be a local issue, if you just take a look at the real coverage area for data which at&t covers, I think you will get an idea why many will switch back. I am loving the smartphone now that I have coverage. The at&t GoPhone service is great. They got me going at a company store here in California with no cost for the SIM card and no startup fee -- it just works, coverage and price. People like Verizon coverage. I think you will find more people stating they had lousy coverage when users of T-Mobile or Sprint. Just ask around -- check out the Internet. You will find strong holds for T-Mobile and Sprint, but MANY more areas which coverage is working out for people on at&t service. Like I said, your experience may be different -- would not tell anyone not to use any one service, as coverage varies. I will say the new plans, like on GoPlans of at&t are much better.
You are joking of course. T has a much wider and stronger coverage in wireless and after these so called
price wars are over T will remain the number one telecom in the country. No doubt they need to expand
beyond the borders for growth but they have the where with all to maintain their no 1 position.
