    Warrants (cont.)

(Too many confusing replies to replies to replies on the original post.)

Question: As a fairly new holder of ATHX I've hunted but been unable to find an official announcement from Athersys about the possibility of the warrant exercise price being altered. Can someone please cite a reference or two so I may read an original document?
    Thanks, Ron

      • Thanks, Eastbay. The info sure made me even more negative than I was earlier. From the proxy: "To the extent the warrants are exercised and the shares received upon exercise are sold, our stock price could decrease due to the additional number of shares available in the market, and subsequent sales of those shares could encourage short sales by our stockholders and others, which could place further downward pressure on our stock price."

      • Thank you for this link. I went to the site and read it. There is absolutely no reason to approve this at this time. In their own words, this could dilute the share price. Even in their dialogue, the only outcome of NOT approving would be for them not to receive additional funds. Simply, this is DEFINITELY DILUTION at the expense of the current shareholders.

        I have already voted NO.

        Sentiment: Strong Buy
