I am newer to this stock, but I find some very interesting things about this stock none the less. First of all, I feel that even without a buyout, this stock is a great long term investment, as its products seem to be hot, and its revenue is growing steadily (too bad I would probably invest in AMRN over the long run, that stock is already running up now). About the alleged buyout, I have a concern, the person who has been touting a buyout is a seeking alpha author, not exactly the bench mark of credibility... I have not really seen the buyout touted anywhere else. However, do I believe OMPI is a good buyout candidate, yes, but am I sure about the current rumors... no. However, the Poison Pill being voted down would surely hint that there might be something in play. I would not put too much stock in a buyout though (pun not intended).
Delewene ( I know that I didn't spell that right probably) it appears as though if this halt is due to what I think it is, that I owe you an apology, I am sorry for questioning the validity of your research, I know that you did conduct your research quite extensively.
I agree with you. The company is a buy out candidate and there are companies out there who "might" like to own them.
Every single takeover I've been involved in had leaks of the details from some source like the fly on the wall, the financial times, or bloomberg. There have been no such leaks on OMPI.
that's because u aren't researching. Let me help you out a bit..
next time, do the research before u imply a seeking alpha author might lack credibility. Do we really need to do everything for you? in other words, stop being apathetic and lazy and you can find out stuff about the buyout.
So, thank you to the person who posted the links, however, your research seems to be flawed. First of all, the biomed report is hardly credible as it is written by the SAME PERSON as the Seeking Alpha article, so anybody can write just about anything on a stock on Seeking Alpha, long story short it seems like one person was doing the pumping.
As to your second source, I was aware of this source, however, I discounted it because it mentioned an offer in March... it is now July, that doesn't mean that things haven't changed, it is possible that the company walked away.
I am interested however, in the price action for the last couple of days, higher than average volume with a large upside swing in price, especially yesterday's before it started tanking, would point to some possible deal going on. However, what I find concerning is that the price yesterday did not hold, in my opinion the buyout might just be pure speculation. The bottom line is that no one knows, and if Mr. Garza (I believe that is the name of the Seeking Alpha author) did know, he probably wouldn't be telling us now would he?
Next time before you criticize people, check your research :)
