In my view, you don't file late unless you have positive news for the future. We all are aware of the crop reports of soybeans in Paraguay....what we don't know is the future of the smart decision to change to building liquid barges...as well as how much their earnings can be affected by building either liquid or not barges. Keep in mind a bad crop year can be overcome by moving liquids (crushing and petrol products)....as well as selling the barges they make. With that said, they are also making money on the return trip of barges that delivered crops to the ocean from Paraguay and Brazil...utilizing their Ocean container business.
No doubt, the offshore business will be an even keel cash cow for ULTR. Knowing that these day rates are very very good and still have capacity to even increase rates...thanks to the needs of Petrobras.
No doubt the ocean business is a constant and has the ability to retain if not more so its earnings capability.
Again, a no brainer....ULTR has barge and liquid barge capacity so that earnings will happen significantly when all their stars line up.
ULTR has a significant offshore presence with Petrobras ULTR is the most significant barge company in the region ULTR has a ocean business set to take advantage of any movement South America makes. Such as...Olympics 2016 as well as World Cup.
