RVT and RMT are dong the smart thing in terms of long term health, using capital for buying opportunities at low pride, etc. For those who wre counting on dividends right now it is an ouch..and selling at this price is an ouch.
Time will tell if there is a reward at the end--but anyne who says they know on these Boards is making it up.
No need to panic, the NAV went up today .04 to 9.49 while the market price went down .54 to 8.37 because some people think that they will lose money with the change in distribution policy and sold.
Whenever the fund went X-dividend the net asset valve dropped by that ammount and the market price dropped as well so, you really didn't gain anything when the fund went X-dividend. The only difference is that you don't get a dividend check every quarter but it does not change the principle so in effect it's no gain or loss.
