NLST product sold with EVERY DELL Server...wake up
Netlist Rallies As Dell To Include Product On Its Servers Last update: 7/7/2010 8:45:46 AM DOW JONES NEWSWIRES Dell Inc. (DELL) has selected Netlist Inc.'s (NLST) data-recovery-and-retention system for inclusion on servers sold by the computer maker. Shares of the tiny provider of memory subsystems climbed 19% in recent premarket trading to $2.74. The shares had fallen about 56% this year through Tuesday after surging from $1 to approximately $8 in November. The system to be included on Dell PowerEdge servers and PowerVault Direct Attached Storage products is designed to support data storage and enhance recovery and retention. It can enable the servers to recover and retain data for weeks following data-center power failures. Traditional systems can only retain data to up to 72 hours, said Netlist. The company added that its product also reduces maintenance costs and loss of sales as it doesn't require system downtime for maintenance. Netlist, which has been unprofitable, reported in May that its first-quarter revenue soared to $7.9 million.
