    Reason for Increase Different

Why are all you guys saying "remember what happened last time MOV went on a run".

That run happened when Cramer featured Movado on Mad Money which commonly boosts stocks without basis for a while, and then they ultimately fall back.

This rally is based on solid earnings, real profits that are a tangible basis for optimism. Longs should be much happier about the current rally than the previous one

    • cheros, well put.....this run has facts and results to back it up....although for once i actually appreciated Cramer when it ran up because i sold 1/3 of my position at 24.25 and bought back in at 21, 20 and was geting rough there for a while down at 18.....i am very pleased with today....obviously.....but if we hit 24 on a Cramer run....we should see 28 within a couple quarters

    • I am a long holder-cost about $17 with a fairly small position. Have also done very well in large positions in retail (chicos, tjx, tgt and others)

I picked MOV entirely on my own (usually a death decision) and I have questioned my judgment frequently.

However, todays numbers have really impressed me when I compared them with prior years. If we use $ 1.50 and multiply by $ 20 we get to $30. If it gathers momentum (far from sure but possible) it could go higher and shorts could be in trouble.

I also like the large position held by Dimensional Fund Advisors shown on Yahoo.

To sum up--I like the risk/reward aspects of this investment.
