Now, I'm wondering :) ... since LS and DS are "brothers-in-law", did LS run off with DS' sister or is DS married to LS' sister? The first scenario, especially, opens up fascinating avenues of speculation!
It appears that operating management was the loser in this struggle (too bad, I would have preferred an LBO, so that I could get my money out of this stock). We now basically have a company without top management.
This is not good, but, as they say, "the cemetary is full of indispensable people". Let's hope that LS can attract good top level replacements, hopefully real operators, not yes-men.
In the meantime, I wouldn't be surprised if operating management didn't mind the store these last few months, while they were trying to buy the company. We may have to brace ourselves for a bad quarterly earnings surprise
all that fat can kill you. This "investment" is starting to look chillingly like one of my other investments, DNLI, which dinged me for over 50% before I got out at 4. It's now tickling 1 and probably headed for Chapter X.
I fear the next quarterly report will not make VDIM seem like quite so much of a bargain.
