DIS down 0.5% in 3 days: so what

    close Monday: 30.50
    close today: 30.35

    Not exactly a disaster.

Meanwhile, Wall-E is on track to surpass Ratatouille by mid-August, at least domestically, and in a terrible economy the parks have hardly been affected at all.

    • Disney, being the huge conglomerate it has become, can suffer in spite of improvements in some sectors. Conversely, it can improve in spite of weakness in some sectors.

There is little that the company can do that will make a significant change in the fact that, being a huge behemoth, growth will be slow and sluggish. For the most part, the company's stock is in the hands of those who care little about the company other than what they can get in short-term profits. Long-term investors look at little change over ten years while short-term traders make daily moves to maximize returns.

The real long-term outlook for the overall market, if it continues to be manipulated as has been, is not good. The entire economy will suffer.

    • Also I don't know if you are holding for 3 days but , DIS is 17.59% from its 52 week high and it has lost 6.9% over the last 52 week period. So 0.5% is about par for the course.

    • Have you been to a park ?
