    Quarterly Earnings ????

This used to be a steady market favorite but I
understand this last quarter is disappointing & this,
coupled with the new annual dividend payment, might lead
the faithful astray. Shareholder relations said the
quarterly earnings report is usually out the second /third
week after the end of this past month. Does anybody
have any info as to the pos/neg earnings for the last
quarter??? Poor performance here would account for several
large blocks of stock being dumped by name investors &
    some portfolio managers.

    • see you at 35

    • Dis will be up at close.

    • Thanks for the info. I have XON stock currently.
I have been watching DIS the past few weeks, trying
to decide where to jump in. I think I am about ready
to buy. Enjoy that Yacht! I intend to do the same
thing when I retire, if I can accumulate enough between
now and then. Still have to do the 9-5 thing for a
few more years. Whats everyones opinion on DIS??? I
would be buying long term. Have been disappointed in
Disneys management lately. Eisner makes too much
considering the recent performance of the company. Any word
on when all that is going to change and his pay is
going to be more in line with the companys earnings and
stock performance??? Don't like the idea of rewarding
poor performance with big fat income! Shareholders
should be very vocal about that!. Thanks for the tips on
      the stock. R.

    • Not saying where DIS stock will go. But the
Energy sector is looking up. Today there have been some
dips in energy stocks. Rebound started in prices
      started again.
Suggestion, go over the Energy sector
and pick the low debt stocks in oil, ngas, services
      on profiles of Yahoo Quotes.
      As a guide look at
APA VTS NOI ESV OEI PTEN SFY DO RIG GLM MRL GRL FLC
GW PKD CRK VRS TDW TMAR hmar.
      With future,
earnings willl be up because of price of oil and n-gas.
Check also CNBC cable about 7 minutes before the hour
and see futures and prices on energy. If you buy
cheap stocks, you'll have more shares to gain on, %
wise you'll do good over the next 18 months - 2 years.

I'll be buying later a new 44 ft.diesel powered Marine
Trader for my travels and living aboard along
intercoastal waterway in retirement! Glad I quit the 9-5
      crap!

power trip....my profit is in his damn pocket.

    • Dis is seriously undervalued at this price, it is
a blue chip company that has been performing great
for 25 plus years, and will continue to do so, they
have made some strategic investments in parks
overseas, the Disney cruiseline, and the GO network, which
although, have been a drag on earnings this quarter and
last, next quarter should be spectacular in comparison,
and now is the best time to buy into some Disney
stock. What a bargain basement price, for a dividend
paying blue chip company, with terrific
      fundamentals!
