Visited half a dozen builder showrooms last weekend. Beazer by a long shot had the best models. Floor plans were great, they were energy efficient and quipped for solar panels, and they were decorated simply and inviting. Many were sold. I was impressed. Check them out for yourselves. That is a little good news in a sea of bad news.
Opensky writes in response to, THEY DID NOT HONOR MY NEW HOUSE WARRANTY: <<There are two sides to the story and I am not getting all the details from you. Please be explicit about what happened and explicit about why the home warranty company and builder are not cooperating, or maybe rather than ranting your grievances in public you should hire a lawyer. Since this forum is a financial board you are just looking like a short trying to influence the stock price, so it is hard to give you any credibility. >>
A short? Laughable. Credibility? After your shill-like post I'm willing to let readers determine for themselves who has greater credibility.
Hire a lawyer? Yes, I did. No one has the means to fight for justice----if one wins, they still lose. And, corporate/public new house builders know this very well and play their game accordingly.
It is too bad that message boards/new house builder experiences/testimonials, formerly available at HADD.com, Homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings and HOBB.org, HomeOwners for Better Building, are now only available by specific request. Want details? Request: We got ripped off, but you won't. From HADD.com.
My posts are straight forward. New house shoppers are free to believe what they choose to believe, as are you.
