Wonder if everyone over on the private board are congratulating each other thier victory or expressing dissappointment like I am and if they do articulate dissatisfaction.. how many will be kicked off for their opinions? I am sure it is a mess. I can hear them say well it is not over and we will continue to press for change.
i never even bothered to join the private board as i dont agree with it cause it goes against what message boards are all about, what if we had "private markets" for securities, how well would that end up working out for regular investors? a private message board is fascist and undemocratic
lolol..... i agree with your thoughts 110%.... i am as long or longer in equal shares than anyone on this board or the private board and have been invested since 2009..... i bot them initially after the crash of 2008 and figured they would be a good turnaround play, added over time... i am down significantly on equal shares, how many investments are DOWN compared to the 2008/09 crash prices???? not to darm many, unfortunately many ng stocks are, equal included
to be honest, i have been very suspect of all these recent articles on equal shares and the "activist investors" who have taken over equal in the past year or so, i always assumed they were hired by equal or are affiliated with equal in some way... .shares have done nothing but gone south since they arrived so i am sure there is a connection.... without naming names, the main "activist character" shows up, has all kinds of negative things to say about the company and mgmnt at 4-5-6$ but claims the assets are worth 6-7-8$, then announces he has acquired big position all of a sudden, then the stock tanks and he keeps pumping and now he is happy with the outcome of the strategic review? nobody is ever happy with a strategic review until the y1-get shares moving higher and/or 2- dump current board and mgmnt... neither has happened
stock is a total mess and the mgmnt is a joke but at least i have gotten a chuckle reading all this "unbiased" info from the activists..... lol
if ng and liquids and oil prices recover in 2013, equal has a chance of moving higher.... if not, the strategic review will actually have been a very good thing as the company could not have continued to hold all the debt into more uncertain times, we just dont have the cash buffer to manoever thru lower oil prices
You tell me what I said that was so bad? I would appreciate it if you would continue to advocate for change. I was appreciative of the work that you have produced however I feel dialogue that presents a different side is also constructive. With the corporate veil it is iimpossible to know what really is going on and minimizes these boards to mere speculation... which is sort of pathetic.
