ESKOM shut down 5 of 6 units of its largest power stations!!!
June 24 (Bloomberg) -- Eskom Holdings Ltd., South Africa's state-owned power utility, said five of the six units at its second-biggest power plant shut down unexpectedly earlier today.
Let me bring it up again.
The 5 unit shut down on June 24, and prompt re-start is the tip of the iceberg.
Only plausible explanation is ESKOM is running low on coal stockpile. Turbine units do not get shut down accidentally and then re-start so promptly, unless the reason for shut down is they are running out of coal.
So why are pt and pd down this AM? And why is ESKOM showing green load shedding status on their website:
If the durable goods order #s are bad this AM, PAL will be in the $4s.
