07:29 $ 1.69 x 5,000
Errr? Someone was willing to buy 5000 shares pre-market at 1.69? #$%$? That's 15% more than the closing price.
Either that person is stupid and placed a market order, OR he or she knows something and wanted to have them at any cost...
Time will tell :)
I think the buyer is smart since this stock actually worth $3 - $5!!!
Maybe he knows something that would happen soon. Buyout!!! Sooner or later!!!
Now (8:32) 1.52 x 1.53 10000 x 100
Still unusual. I have seen no reason (yet).
More likely stupid. If I urgently wanted "at any cost" I would first bid maybe 1.58 - well above close to see what would happen.
Yep, and over 20k shares traded in pre-market... That's also unusual for PAL...
Unfortunately, it appears that the 1.69 was just a MM taking advantage of a buyer with limitied pre-market knowledge. Even if the buyer knows something, they paid a lot more than necessary to buy the stock! Hopefully, for all longs, the buyer will make some money ion their investment.
Could have also been a feeble attempt to psyche the the public in to a buy binge, similar to a pump and dump - With this bunch, it would be like parading a naked woman in front of a guy with E.D. -
An amused look is about all your gonna get.....
Sentiment: Strong Buy
yeah but still... The actual close yesterday was 1,44 (even though just one minute after the bell they set it at 1.47).
Palladium is down $11 today, along with other commodities, futures are up only slightly, so why would PAL be trading at 1.54 pre-market?
Fat-fingered 1.49 would be my guess...
Someone will to sell 8K into the 1.42 bid. Bidder still wants 2K more.
But careful - market is thin on the downside 1.52, 1.51, 1.40
Will be more comfortable if the high 1.4x bids appear.
