<<earnings are out tonight and at first blush, i think i take a Nap.. don >>

Biggest shocker to me remains the Bakken oil production.

With the amount of attention to their Bakken acres for last few years and the amount of drilling, I keep thinking they will ramp production there to 5000 bopd or more.

At current rate of climb, even getting to that modest production (relative to peers) would take another 20 years.

    I don't get it.

    • Fidelity is a very sleepy company, it is part of utility, nothing to bold. BEXP or WLL Fidelity is not.
You would actually think with all those construction assets sitting idle, they would go to work building some pads, roads, and gathering systems. Put that equipment sitting idle all over MDU's western assets ON the TRAIN and send it to ND/MT. The military moves equipment around on flat cars all the time on BNSF and the UP. If they can't figure out how to drill at least build something?
I used to go to Fidelity every day, for such a big office I always wondered where the people were?

    • On reflection, I really still don't get it.

Shouldn't every well that they add result in 30 day production of 300 plus bopd, 90 day production of 200 bopd, and then eventually settle in at 50-100 bpd for a long time.

Why don't those 100 bopd increments of daily production start to show up in the overall production base?
