Greetings again, Mr. Iwant,
I knew VLO. I used to own it back in the 80's. Since Mr. Greehay(sp) took over it sold the Texas pipelines and aggressively acquired refineries . I wish I understood the inelastic capacity in the US. Conoco bought out Tosco, I heard. That was a big west coast refiner and gas retailer.

One more trade: went long VLO yesterday via common, and also sold VLO Sept 70 puts for an entry price of 67s if it gets put to me. EV/EBITDA about 4.5x, p/e 9x. Not their problem to find the oil, limited no. of refineries, NIMBY a moat-like support for margins IMO.
