I am looking for the long-awaited partnership deal by the end of this month. I think the deal will be signed very soon after the EIS has been accepted by the Nic gov, an event that may happen this week. It has been reported that Stan was in Nicaragua last week, and - if those reports are correct - that likely has to do with the EIS.
A video interview with Stan Ross was posted on InterlinkedTv on Feb 14. In that interview Ross said that they would “probably” finish up the EIS in the next 30 days (i.e. by March 14) and then move straight into shooting 3D seismic. To me this sounds as if there is a deal of some sort that will be concluded shortly after the EIS is accepted, because IFNY does not have the money right now to start 3D seismic scans. In addition, the recent 60-day private financing deals that were done also indicate that things are on a very short fuse.
