1982 was the beginning of possibly the longest running bull market ever. There were hiccups along the way, i.e. 1987, but the markets essentially rose uninterrupted from a DJIA around 1200 until it peaked around DJIA 12500 in 2000. I remember the big celebrations on CNBC everytime a new millennial mark was reached. Basically a 10-fold increase over 18 years. We're currently at a 3-fold increase since the 2009 low. Do we get that other 7-fold increase over the next decade or so, or do we crater and burn a la 2008 sometime before then?
