      • Yes, they do lose money, but 2M is really very little for 300M company. Please note, that startups that lose tens in millions, have no finished products, no marketing, no organization, are being sold for 400M or more. By the way, its competitors are not big money makers either, with ViaSat losing 7.5M last quarter too.

In my opinion, Gilat is in transition, and in such situation losing money is the norm, not an exception. The Ka band, high bandwidth network is a brand new game, and Gilat has pretty decent chance to be a significant player (if not dominant) in this field. Its largest competitors (Hughes and ViaSat) are vertically integrated (deploying their own satellites) which makes optimizations and deployment easier. On other hand Gilat caters to independent satellite providers and telecoms, which present far much larger market.

The military, on the move network connectivity is also a very promising market, but the penetration in any government activity is painfully slow.

Simple, in this business, money making is not the only criteria. And taking everything into considerations, Gilat is badly undervalued. IMHO
