    Gilat and Viasat

Please look at this comparision (from Yahoo Finance) between Gilat and Viasat:
    Direct Competitor Comparison
    GILT VSAT
    Market Cap: 112.56M 1.69B
    Employees: 1,356 2,400
Qtrly Rev Growth (yoy): -0.04 0.11
    Revenue (ttm): 335.78M 863.63M
    Gross Margin (ttm): 0.35 0.26

    P/E (ttm): N/A 230.12
    PEG (5 yr expected): 2.38 2.78
    P/S (ttm): 0.35 2.01
Viasat is 2x bigger, however is valued 1.7B versus Gilat's 110M.
Granted, Viasat has more experience in KA band, did won the Australia's NBN Long Term Satellite Service contract starting in 2015 (when NBN's satellites will be on orbit) - Gilat provides equipment for the Interim Satellite Service, and according to the same press release "There are already around 10,000 homes and businesses connected to the Interim Satellite Service." However, this is still the "old style" network connectivity, where each user has his own dish and modem (both the Interim and Long Term Service). The future system will be of the Wireless Backhaul via Satellite type, where each connection will be equpped with larger antennas, will be by far faster and much more complex.
The race is on. And there is no way in the world that Gilat should be 15x discounted in comparison to Viasat
