I hear they have hired an investment banking firm to study whether or not they should sell some or all the Thermal businesses. I'd like to see them sell the Marley cooling tower business, as there's no growth in that segment and margins are getting commoditized. Any ideas on who would buy that from them ?
There are a number of Chinese companies and maybe the Indians that would LOVE to have the Marley brand name and US sales networks.
Another potential would be GEA - but that is a long shot given their own financial issues in the heat exchanger business. Given the complexity of the global footprint, a complete divestiture of the entire business is unlikely, but they do need to figure out some way to stop the bleeding as the overall asset value of these businesses probably just keeps going down as regional and global competitors get stronger.
