    GSX bashing

I must admit, the GSX bashing is about what I

Yes, Mike Lockhart made some mistakes. Yes, the style
of management was profit oriented. And yes, this
style of management didn't always rub the GSX employee
    in the right way.

    But, let's not forget what
GSX or any other company is in business for--TO
ENHANCE SHAREHOLDER VALUE. If while enhancing shareholder
value the company makes the employee feel warm and
fuzzy, well, bonus. So folks, wake up and don't be so
naiive. If you keep this in mind, your career will be
    better off.

And as for Mr. Lockhart enhancing
shareholder value, I sold quite a bit of my GSX holdings at
$50/share; so, in my eyes, he did what he was supposed to

And for those of you who are probably saying, sure,
the words of a heartless investor, not an employee, I
was a GSX employee. Until 2 months ago I worked at
the poorest performing member of the GSX portfolio.
So, I know what it is to have corporate folks in your
face everyday. As with every company, yes there are a
few you would rather not deal with. But, also
remember to look inside your business unit. I'm sure there
    a few under-performers there also.

    I guess
what I am trying to say is quit whining about what you
perceive to have happened and get on life.
