This novel is fantastic! I can't seem to put it down. The onscreen kiss damn near put me into a third leg errectus cardiac arrest. I'm just calming down at this moment. What I found intriguing, is the Hemingwayesque style of prose, jam packed with full tilt irony. I have just issued a major buy signal for Hunter S. Anton, and he will no doubt be central to all that is American culture. Who the hell will mess with Farmville when they discover this form of cerebral entertainment? Too bad Anton is a recluse like J.D. Salinger. If I could just get my hands on a personal interview.
I'm just hoping this is a sign of much bigger things to come. I did get a bit distracted when I attempted to read the raving critical review of this grand novel in the S.I. Swimsuit Edition, as I was temporarily out of commission on Bay Watch.
Johnny Dirtbag will turn out to be the ultimate icon for the Farmville generation. Think of the tabloid headlines it will generate--especially the Lindsay Lohan sexcapades while she is under the influence of numerous nefarious substances. Kardashian doesn't even come close, and a fat bottom to boot. Hollywood has good reason to be nervous, and the elders in the Kosher Nostra are now shaking in their boots. "One dangerous book" it is.
I envision a trilogy here. This story is much too big for a single book. Anton better be prepared to become the next Leo Tolstoy. Who said reading didactic literature is dead in America?
