OK, I see so much chatter about ZNGA in talks with Wynn. That was reported by Forbes back in April of 2012, roughly 10 months ago. Several late-to-the-party bloggers trotted this old piece of news out during the summer. Currently, the only ones talking about it are message board posters, as if it was news yesterday.
So, why are both parties silent now, and why are no credible news sources talking about it lately?
Can anybody point me to something RECENT with regards to these supposed talks?
10 Months is a long time to hammer out an agreement. When talks drag out that long, without something getting inked, I begin to wonder if they've reached an impasse and have walked away.
The only other thing I'm thinking is that a deal can't be inked until the particulars for legalized online poker is Nevada are known, so that the proper Rev Share / Fees etc. can be structured into a deal.
I'm hoping that it is a matter of legislation getting passed, which will then allow deals to finalized and trumpeted.
you answered your own question
all parties, not just znga and wynn, are waiting for the legislation to be hammered out
online gambling is becoming the greatest idea (Sorry for this tired analogy) since sliced bread
all companies with a focus on this are cementing deals on the quiet
could be wrong, don't think so
we will all find in the near months
Nobody walked away. The agreement first required the law to be passed which it was today. Zynga has their application in and they need a partner. Since they have an agreement with Wynn most like they are listed in their application.
