Several weeks ago, Zynga had some good gains in the the after market. The following day, the pre market started falling and carried over to the regular session. I thought the run was over and sold my cheap shares for a small profit. Just after I did that, it started back on it's climb to $3.75. I got back in on the recent pull back, but I'm not at the low level I was before. I think this ride has a ways to go, but it may be a little bumpy. Hang in there and hold onto your shares.
With respect to this stock, it makes sense to if not avoid, then be very careful about buying in pre-market, when the trading is relatively thin. If you look specifically at pre-market trades over the last few weeks, the stock has almost always fallen lower than pre-market prices once the 9:30 bell rings.
What was premarket like the day we ran to $3.75 ... I can't remember ... but, my point is this ... premarket is thin both ways ... buying and selling ... in fact, the shorts may try to paint a picture in the premarket that does not truly represent the overall market sentiment ... with the Cramer "the bottom is in" comment, the Christie vote, the Morgan Stanley Conference (with Pincus), and the ever increasing headlines concerning the real money online gaming potential the buying pressure in the market may be substantially greater than the premarket represents ... especially when the shorts capitulate and start to cover. It will be an interesting week ... regardless, anyone holding at this level will do very, very well if only they hold tight until Zynga launches real money gaming in the UK. Why anyone would sell before that day to flip a quarter is beyond me ... don't get me wrong, I use that strategy with many other postions ... but there are too many potentially explosive headline possibilites here for that technique ... nonetheless, glta
