Does this market operate for the chosen few on insider information?

You can take that as a near given. Stevie Cohen anyone? If you don't believe it, I have a used hot tub for sale in Marin County. Just a few minor leaks, but otherwise the condition is excellent.
Today's dramatic rise in volume just before the close gives much pause for thought, especially since price movement was to the downside. Someone who considers probability, would raise a few eyebrows.
Yes, I can be mistaken. As a short I just like the movement. It whispers to me.
If I am wrong, I will promptly deny everything.
There's so much ego floating around here.

(Hold it a tub? Leaks?? And, I imagine, the bubbles are created from the ingestion of refried beans??? Perhaps you could sell it to the Spinnaker for their guest to sit in while waiting for a table. Or, Marin Joe's, closer to the highway.)

Does the market operate for insider info? You betcha. Example, some time last season 60 Minutes reported on insider information being used by the members of the Senate and Congress and their family members. Congress passed a bill outlawing that. Since that bill was passed Congress has been adding amendments to new bills eroding away the power of the bill that prevented insider trading in the first place. Chosen few? Welcome to the 99% unchosen few club.

      • I'm with you bro. I reluctantly admit my father (who recently died, and I never got along with) was a 1%er from Wall Street. His big money goes to the Jesuits, so no trust fund baby here. My favorite Marin County dive bar, and there aren't many of the required caliber, is the Paper Mill going out toward Pt. Reyes. There's also the 2AM Club, but it's not really a dive. Paper Mill--lots of musicians. Both are potential cop traps, so you drive the 1968 hippy VW bus with the fold out bed. I can't describe the long amorous history of that vehicle on this family friendly site. I've kept it going on 30 years. Great for whitewater trips. Strap the raft on the roof and ready to go. So if you are interested in rafting away from the desultory fog of SF Bay Area...........
