I swear I'll never understand you technical traders. A company goes up or down on news, performance, promise of future performance, results or rumors. Not on some silly stick figure the chart resembles.
Actually technicians help validate what someone else already knew was going to happen. Case in point: Tesla - a $14.00/hr research intern at Thomson Reuters finds out Car & Driver/Road & Track are going to press with a bold statement like "The Best Car in the Past 5 Years". Thompson sells that data point to Fund managers, they load up shares, the article is released, stock Runs from 80 to where it is now after 1 earnings call, all because the future is suddenly bright and Elon Musk had a vision. Same thing every day.
