Movement is blocked with merchandise blocking aisles. The place looks busy but part of this is due to constricted movement from front to back of store. Downstairs there's a line of merchandise that has now created two aisles between frozen foods and dairy. To get from yogurt to Boca burgers, a distance of probably six feet, I had to walk to the end of the aisle and come around the other side. If this is success for Whole Foods, it's ultimately going to kill them.
In the meantime, Trader Joes, two blocks away on 14th Street, is doing a booming business, and Garden of Eden, one bock away on 14th, which I thought would be DOA with Whole Food, is regaining business.
