WFM is in a difficult situation similar to the Titanic
There's no way out from here but down. Too bad, I would like to see them survive, but the hole is too big to plug, taking on water fast in terms of same store sales/profits, that's the unfortunate reality.
It's comments like yours that convince me even more that WFM will make new highs in the not too distant future. WFM is peerless, period. Great companies solve problems. The balance sheet is the best in the industry and revenues are growing. We're in the early innings of a megatrend. People generally get interested in stocks when everyone else is. You don't do well doing that. You do well buying a stock when no one is interested.

But Mackey sure had the talent to build WFM from one SaferWay to what it is today. Sure, times have changed, but IMO there are many positive chapters yet to be written.
