I am only aware of Alpine Dynamic Dividend Fund - ADVDX - as another open end mutual funds that pays monthly dividends. It is yielding 13.33%. I used to own ADVDX, but sold when I decided that it was too risky in bear markets. I opted for GABUX because it is less volatile and lower risk. It's not a bad fund. But when the market tanked in 2008 it was down -48.95% and ended up slashing its typical dividend from $.07 to $.042. That cut was essential to regaining its NAV from the recession in 2008 and it led to three solid years.
