This gem from "a Yahoo user" claiming that his money hasn't been dead in GABUX:
'"I would not call a 14% annual dividend paid monthly "pretty much been dead" '
Unfortunately, you've lost more than half of that in share price...about 8.3% since 12/21/11
If you've been long for 18 months, it's even worse. Between 6/21/11 and 12/21/11, you picked up .42 in dividends and lost .42 in share price.
The very DEFINITION of "dead money"
Eat your heart out clown! You wouldn't know a good investment if it hit you in the butt! You post nothing of value on message boards. A quick glance at your posting history confirms that, for a fact, You're just a jealous little boy. So run along now little man..... besides that, you're a real bore.
I haven't realized any loss with my GABUX investment. So I have lost absolutely nothing and have gained around 14% a year in distributions. You don't seem to be able to understand the difference between realized and unrealized gains and losses or why someone would choose to invest in GABUX.
In other words, you are the VERY DEFINITION of "mentally challenged"
Re: "I haven't realized any loss with my GABUX investment."
That's because you bought at a low price and have not held long enough to realize capital loss. People who purchased long ago and reinvested dividends are the ones with the most paper or realized losses. You've been fortunate over the short-term but eventually, the steam roller will get you too.
Oh, That's brilliant Fred! Sort of like there is no gun pointed at your head if you never open your eyes, huh?
I think you should read this about Denial:
Denial is a word used for a psychological defense mechanism postulated by Sigmund Freud, in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence.
Fred, I am so very glad that you are still posting. It is to all of our benefit, as your posts are so entertaining.
